Big 10 Championship Game (FOX)

If they lose and get in they’re literally just running scrimmage

And?

Why is Oregon suddenly more deserving because they beat an overrated Utah team? Why does that count more than them losing to an inferior Arizona St team just 3 weeks ago?

Why would OSU more deserving than Georgia? Or anyone else who lost today?

So who should get removed from playoff if Wisconsin wins? 12-1 > 11-2 when the two teams beat each other in the same season.
The last win carries the most weight. It happens in the NFL quite often and in NCAA B. Sometimes the best team at the end of he year was not the best team earlier in the season. The same scenarios should exist in Football.

It’s not going to matter. Ohio St will win this game.

My thoughts exactly but if Wisconsin wins, I don’t see how you move them ahead of OSU. Wisconsin and OSU would have a win against each other, but Wisconsin’s loss to Illinois would weigh worse than OSU losing to Wisconsin.

Is Bama in if Ohio St. loses tonite ? I mean they had two quality loss’s and three really good wins against A&M and Tennessee and Duke

It doesn’t happen in the NFL. It’s pretty clear where you need to be going into the last weeks to clinch a division or wild card. There are no rankings to deal with in the NFL or eye test to advance into the post season.
The problem is OSU and Wisconsin have played each other already. 11-2 is not better than 12-1 when the 12-1’s only loss is to the 11-2 team and the 11-2’s loss is to the 12-1 team and a 6-6 team.

No question, not to mention that thrashing OSU out on UW earlier.

I may be wrong about tonight though. This is unreal. Looks like UW’s night.

There may be teams which could be competitive now for a NC but are not getting the chance. The expansion needs to happen now , not later. BTW some of the most recent playoff games have been competitive so I don’t know what you have been watching ?
Been competitive? Let’s go down the list:
2014
Oregon v FSU-not competitive
Ohio State v Alabama- competitive

2015
Alabama v Mich St-not competitive
Clemson v Oklahoma- marginally competitive

2016
Clemson v Ohio St-not competitive
Alabama v Washington-not competitive

2017
UGA v Oklahoma- very competitive
Alabama v Clemson-not competitive

2018
Alabama v Oklahoma- not competitive
Clemson v Notre Dame- not competitive

So out of 10 semifinal games, 7 have been non competitive. Sorry but that’s not good for college football.
