Big 10 Championship Game (FOX)

Right on , that is the point I’m trying to make. It is the perfect argument for an 8 team playoff. Both Wisconsin and OU would be in the playoffs with Wisconsin deserving for beating OU in the conference championship.

Can you please start typing "OSU" when referring to Ohio St? It's really confusing since Oklahoma is also part of this discussion.

They might as well switch out the footballs for basketballs in this football toss game, since now everyone tosses them like they are passing a basketball and not actually throwing them like you'd throw a football.

I agree, but what if Wisconsin ends up winning by 21+ or something? Is there a margin of loss that would matter or does it not matter?
Probably not this year because of the other teams but I hope I’m wrong. It would be hilarious if Ohio State was left out.

Didn’t these use to be just at the SEC title? I think I remember the guy who first did chest passes and everyone lost their mind

What about when Ohio State beat them badly earlier this year?

That’s voided out if Wisconsin beats them tonight. The loss to 6-6 Illinois is what people have to vote on that matters in the argument between 12-1 OSU and 11-2 Big Ten Champ Wisconsin

So, if we call the head-to-head a wash, we're talking about comparing otherwise unbeaten tOSU or a Wisconsin team that lost to an Illinois squad that only reached bowl eligibility because of that win. That's not a terribly hard choice.

I agree but others seem to be ignoring that fact, or at least it appears so.

There need to be consistently competitive seminfinals. Absent that, the Big XII should go ahead and die and we can have a 4 team playoff without the need for the committee.
I believe there would be more competitive games from a pct standpoint with 8 teams vs 4 teams but you can never expect all playoff games to be competitive.

This game trumps the first game. All champions in all sports are crowned because of how they are playing at the end of the year vs how they played earlier in the year.
I get that but with UW having a second loss and this would be OSU’s only loss you have to look at the overall resume and OSU’s would be better.

I agree. I think OSU is in regardless. Wisconsin could jump OU for the 4spot if they blow out OSU

The choice should be influenced by how the teams are playing now.
