The Big 10 was considered by most “experts” to be the best conference coming into the season. After 3 weeks it is obvious the experts were wrong.
Nebraska lost to Colorado and Troy
Purdue to Eastern Michigan and Missouri (Purdue really needed that win tonight too)
Northwestern to Duke and Akron (guess it’s good Nebraska didn’t have to play Akron after all)
Wisconsin to BYU
Michigan to Notre Dame
Michigan St to Arizona St
Illinois to USF
Maryland to Temple
Rutgers was destroyed by Kansas
Penn St went to OT to down App St
Ohio St won tonight but TCU outplayed them much of the game. Ohio St does have a lot of talent and should run the table based on what we’ve seen thus far but you know they’ll lose somewhere. They always do. But this has been a terrible out of conference year for the Big 10. Looks like the SEC is still king.

The East is a disaster behind UGA. Arkansas lost to N Texas. Miss St hasn’t played anybody. Ole Miss lets anybody score at will. Yea, things are all sunshine after Bammer and UGA

But Ole Miss still beat Texas Tech, LSU beat Miami, Bama killed Louisville, Auburn beat the best of the Pac 12 in Washington, Vandy took ND to the wire, Miss St did win easily at K St which isn’t as easy as it appears, and I’m sure there are others. Oh yeah, A&M took Clemson to the wire as well. I never said the entire SEC is good but right now it appears overall the SEC is the best. I’ve never seen a season with so few big interconference games so pretty much what has happened already is all we have until Bowl season and bowls are so weird with that long layoff that you never know what you’ll get. I don’t put as much stock in bowls whether we win them all or lose them all.

Almost every conference is top heavy. tOSU went to Dallas without their HC, and beat a very, very talented TCU. WVU DESTROYED us. The top of the Big 12, Big Ten, SEC and ACC all look great. The bottom of their conferences are garbage.

It honestly feels like each big conferences is a 2 team race

SEC - UGA/BAMA
Big 10 - Ohio State/ Penn State
Pac 12 -Stanford/ Washington
Big 12 - Oklahoma/WVU
ACC- Clemson/Virginia Tech

BYU can be fairly good. Utah vs BYU rivalry is as intense as anything in the sec
They can be but the last few years BYU hasn’t been as good as they have been at times. Maybe this year will be a bounce back year for them. I like your profession!

It’s so early there’s still others clinging to hope like OK St, LSU, and even Michigan. So far the Big 12 seems to be playing some pretty good football. I still think the Pac 12 will not have a team in the playoff but we shall see!
