Yes, it’s a KY site. But they have a bunch of TN history if you surf around.

Don Devoe actually had a winning record versus Kentucky 11-10. But then he lost his last 4.

Kentucky's Record versus Tennessee

They have great box scores going way back. Even list the refs.

Interesting page with games by great SEC players. TN’s did pretty well. Most others had losing records versus KY. Some never even won one game.

It's a thrill a minute if you google/YT UK and Ernie Grunfeld. They still have pi$$ed off fans due to the free throws. LOL!

Ray Mears went .500 against UK.
Bernard King owned them. After losing at Memorial, having trash and even a lit cigarette thrown in his hair, he vowed that UT would not lose to UK again, as long as he was there. King was a man of his word as we won the next 5 matchups.

I think since Barnes has been here, we are 7-5 against them. I could be wrong but I think we’ve beaten them at least once every year since he’s been here.

Vols have beaten Ky in bb more than any other team and it is not very close. After living in Louisville Ky during the Earnie and Bearnie era I understood how much the Kats hate the Vols. Was sweet to get 9 of 11 wins against them at one point. The two losses were in the year UT had an interim coach and Kats won NC. Since 2013 Vols are even despite being lower ranked 80% of time.

The episode about King having a cigarette flipped at him and the Grunfeld free throws in 1976 reminded me of something else about the "good ole days": How many remember during the Mears era when rival SEC fan bases would literally throw oranges onto the court at crucial moments in games against Tennessee? Kentucky and Vanderbilt were the two fan bases that did this the most. I sometimes have to pinch myself just to remind myself that did happen once. Now days, if you put a sign up that is offensive, you get tossed out of games.

Was it Rodney Woods or Dickie Johnston that threw the oranges back into the Vanderbilt student section?

Wow Tennessee only beat Kentucky once in the 1950's...They had some long winning streaks against us in the early days....Big reason why they have so many wins against us.

Where's the football record? Baseball and softball, the Weekly's own UK.

I hear you. But they do an amazing job memorializing their basketball history and that history bleeds over to ours. Some of those pictures on the game pages are awesome. There’s one of King almost laying flat on the court watching his shot drop in. Really cool how they do stats on the ref’s whistles too.

UK was the only SEC school that cared anything about BB in those days. All the other schools just used their programs to keep their football players in shape in til Spring practice.

Ever notice that the schools with great basketball programs have crappy football programs?...Kentucky, Kansas, Duke, UNC...Altho kentucky and UNC has had some decent season the past few years but historically crappy.
