Big Brother Becerra

I thought this comment was interesting:
Becerra said people didn't have to answer the door but he hoped they would so officials could dispel rumors about the vaccine

Damn straight I don't have to answer my door and I seldom ever do unless I'm expecting someone as I think most people do these days.

No one other than my family or friends are met with an open door.
If you come my door and I do not recognize you you'll be standing out there looking stupid until you leave.
My video surveillance cameras will confirm that.
Yep, get off of my damn lawn.

To me the bigger concern is this idea that the government could believe they have a right to know personal medical details for the entire us population. It may not violate the letter of HIPAA but it sure violates the spirit

My dog's barking sends most strangers on their way.
It is the racking of the shotgun from behind the door at my place that usually leads to a skeedaddle.

Actually, I hope they walk down my 600 foot driveway to my front door and knock. I will come outside... maskless... and talk to them for hours if they want. I won't divulge any health business which is none of their ****ing business.. but I will be thrilled to waste as much of their time as possible.

This is how I normally answer the door.

I will in return try to convert my interlocutor to the Cult of Buc-ees. They shall not be allowed to depart until they partake of the sacramental brisket and sweet tea

First, I don’t think they have the manpower to go door to door all over the country. That’s a bunch of govt threatening bs. Second, if they think they’re going to get the states to do their bidding for them, I know a bunch of governors that will tell the .gov to go F themselves. Thirdly, there are plenty of areas where the govt agents will get a bunch of doors shut in their face. Mr Secretary can go pound sand.

I would love to watch them head into Del Rio up in Cocke County.
