The Big East is constantly being touted by ESPN as the premier conference in all of college hoops. And how many of those 18 schools are left in the tournament?

They have exactly ONE school in the Elite Eight.

The SEC is considered first, and foremost, as a football conference. Rightfully so, for what it's worth.

The SEC has TWO schools in the Elite Eight.

Funny, considering basketball is more of an after thought at all schools in the SEC not named Kentucky.

I do not think ESPN hates Tennessee, as some here suggest, but they do have a disgusting east coast bias, for sure.

ESPN touts any school not in the South. Listening to ESPN you'd never know the SEC has win 5 basketball Championships since '94!

The ninth place team in the Big East is playing for the national title Monday night. That answers your question.

I like UConn as well but wouldn't it be a kick in the pants if Butler won the whole enchilada.

Low scoring. I'll take UCONN simply because I don't think Butler can score enough to offset Kemba and Lamb.

Lamb has grown up alot lately, getting some worthwhile time from Oriakhi is going to be big, mainly getting Howard into foul trouble.

I'm rooting for both teams, I'd like for Calhoun to win and ride out on a cloud, but if Butler wins I won't be upset.

two big east teams were put out by other big east teams and two more put out by final four teams, kentuckys win over west virginia was the only sec win over the big east

Which means that the Big East was 0 for 7 against everyone else in the first weekend.

And the fourth place team in the Colonial was playing tonight. I guess that mean they're second best, right?

Really, it just means that one team got hot at the right moment. I mean, why pay attention to the other 10 teams that crapped out in this tournament and follow the logical fallacy of UConn demonstrating something about the strength of the Big East.

It's incredible how much you follow him around. Get a life, a woman, something...

UCONN was a .500 team in Big East play. Remind me how many games they've lost outside the league.

You're using transitive property to grade teams in a single elimination tournament.

You're an idiot. The NIT would have Bukkaked every team in the SEC outside of UF, UK, and Vandy if they played in the Big East.
