I did my first Windmill dunk today. Just adding it to my arsenal of dunks and basketball tricks. I've been working my butt off to get up high enough for it. I'm so happy.......................................

Congrats.....If there is anything else that you want to do to get your vertical higher then do plyametrics(sp?) Builds your leg muscles and stuff....Last year when I played we done those and they definitely added to my vertical...They will help you

Yeah I have tried that, but really don't know what to do. Like what type of exercises are they? cause all I do is alot of calf rasiers and squats. I heard that if you do ploymetrics then my vertical would go shooting up, but I don't know any of the exercises except one or two, and I am sure I am doing it wrong. Do you know any?

I'm short (5"11 maybe 6 feet with shoes on) but I work my butt off for whatever I do. My legs are always in good conditioning because of track, basketball and football. But since I'm not playing football anymore I have alot of free time on my hands right now. So I started training for basketball season early. But will proably quit that too when I go to Oregon. I'm going to stick to what I am best at, TRACK. I'm going to put Oregon on the map.

Dude, I hate to rag on you, but learn your history. One of the greatest runners in modern history is an Oregon native.

EDIT: Not to mention we have another Olympic mile runner in training, fresh out of high school. He ran a mile in 4 minutes flat last year, and is still improving his time.

Also, 2345, play basketball when you get out here. You can play in either Portland Interscholastic League or Metro League. Both have teams that are nationaly ranked with a decent amount of regularity.

I know a couple....Get you a fold out chair and put one leg on it and thrust off of it and alternate your feet and increase like each week as you do them.....You can do burnouts and that is called "Cameron Crazies" drill all you do is jump up and down about an inch.....Believe me if you do them right, they will help you out with your vertical....I couldn't get rim before and now I can...They do help

well when u graduate u can come play college ball in k-town

still smokin chong.

yeah right. I'm a good defender and shot blocker, but all my points come off of playing on the fast break and some great passes from team mates. I really can't create my own shot.

Well if you do them consistently you will get there in about 6-8 weeks....It takes forever to add some to your vertical but when you do you can definitely tell it..just work consistently at it and you will get it....Just remember to increase every week
