If we end up having to look for a new coach, I don't see any of these type of coaches coming unless we pay up the HUGE $$$$.

Gonzaga - Mark Few - he will never leave.

Wichita St. - Gregg Marshall - if he doesn't leave after this year, he will never leave.

VCU - Shaka Smart - This program is getting there. Most likely they will go to the dance or go deep in the NIT. If Shaka doesn't leave after this year, he will never leave.

---

Who should we go for? I think we take a chance and go for an NBA type.

I just drove 900 miles to Houston. I'm tired and sleepy. So I'm gonna give you the best option for a coach. No one may not have thought of him. But here goes. BRUCE PEARL!!!!!! Sorry couldn't help it.

Never say never. They may not leave for Tennessee, but they'll leave for the right school/offer.

Agreed. After all these years and school after school making offers, who would have thought Boise State's Chris Peterson would have held out for Washington? I guess anything is possible...said Kevin Garnett.

There is no reason for Few or Marshall to leave unless a top 10 program comes calling. Shaka is waiting on a better opportunity. He has watched what happened to Anthony Grant and wants to make sure he gets in a better situation. Imo none if these would consider UT at this point in time.

That's exactly what we need if we don't hire Bruce! I trust Dave Hart to do just that!:number1:

For Mark Few, there is more to life than basketball, and this is well documented. He is a hero at Gonzaga, and it is a place where he has no pressure. He makes enough money that it doesn't matter, and he enjoys spending time with his family. Gary Parrish tells a story when he went to cover a big Gonzaga game, and he flew in the night before to interview Few. He got into town and Few had requested the hotel to drive Parrish to his house. Parrish showed up, and Few was playing cards with his son- the night before a national game. People forget that coaches are human, too, and some of them don't chase the next big job.
