Awesome! Isn't not wearing a mouth piece a penalty, or an I'm mistaken on that? Just curious.
I honestly don’t know what the rule is. I thought they were suppose to charge the offending team a timeout for equipment violation and if they are out of timeouts then it is a delay of game penalty. Multiple delay of game penalties in the same down would result in a 15 yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty afterwards.

Equipment violation: if the ball is ready to play and violation called player must come out for a down or can remain if the team calls timeout.
The Miss State Linebacker was asked in interview why his mouthpiece stayed in his helmet facemask. He said he calls all the D plays and nobody can understand him with it in. So he said its just became an ornament for his helmet. Neither of the interviewers stated it was a penalty. So it must not be being called, I thought I remembered it was a penalty back in the day in HS ball.
