Ultimately I will be pretty surprised if SCAR has much success on the ground. However, their WR's and Rattler though are capable of torching our completely inept secondary in the pass game if they have any time at all. Rattler doesn't seem very mobile and I do think our DL and Pass rush can dominate this OL in a raucous Neyland which I predict will be the difference.

I want to see more 5 man rushes on 3rd down. Our guys do well when its 1 on 1 but get eaten up by double teams, even when it's backs and TE.
I realize that means 1 on 1 in the back end too, but would much rather get some 1 on 1s up front where the strength of the D is than get picked apart sitting in zone with both safeties 20 yards off the ball. We used to call that 3rd and Chavis around here. If I was the other team, I would call it 3rd and Thanks Banks.

I hope you’re right.
After the Gators, South Carolina has become my next team that I want the Vols to beat.

I won't be surprised at any outcome of this game.

Same bud......this, in my mind, is an absolute toss up that could result in a close win for either or a blow out for either.....kinda depends on which Tennessee team shows up and if they can keep the foot on the gas for 60 min

You'll definitely see alot more blitz packages from us...or at least you'd think.

If we don't put him on the ground, he will pick our secondary apart!!!!
This game last year was when the SC coaches finally said screw it and let Ratler be himself. I'd expect multitude of blitzes early to try and get him off his game.

I truly believe that our pass rush can get to them. BUT we got to be sure someone has the hot read (someone assigned to backs and TE) and our DB’s get up on the LOS in the receivers face and not allow a free release.

I know no one wants to and I hate to, but watch Bama’s DB’s. They up close and in the face almost every play. We have a good enough front seven to get to the QB, we just need him to hold the ball a couple seconds.

Rattler is mobile. If we don’t tackle clean he will keep moving the chains. He looked like a pro qb against us last year.

Banks loves playing zone defense. The problem is our DBs lose sight where they are and allow the wide receiver get to the chains. I was listening to the Ohio State-Irish on the drive home from Knoxville and couldn’t believe the Irish gave up a 4th and 16 (or 19).
