i agree with several posters who said that you can't make too much of the florida result (although, i would be pissed about the margin too).

however, the ole miss game is the season. period. end of story.

lose and tennessee is three games behind ole miss in the standings.

it would create a clear line of separation between florida, kentucky, and ole miss in the sec standings....and that can't happen.

plus, it's a home game.

tennessee absolutely, positively, has to beat ole miss.

Unfortunately, every game is gonna be a must win the way these guys are playing.

Well no ****. If we lose to Ole miss were in trouble. I think we win. At Bama, though, will be tough. Tossup IMO

We're running out of time, and opportunities. This team is a tournament team, but if they don't play like it, then its a moot point. We should be in the tourney, but it won't be losses to Florida that kill us, it'll be the losses to A&M, NcSt, etc. those are the games we have to win. I agree with OP, Ole Miss is a huge huge game for us.

I thinK they'll beat Ole Miss, then drop 2 straight to Bama and Vandy.
Just my gut though.

I'll not even guess about this team. After tonight I'm not sure they deserve NIT at this point.

I hate to admit it but after the performance today....we looked way over rated and out classed. :cray: Cuonzo coached up......well a whole lot of nothing today :dunno:

I agree and said this last summer. Our post season depends on Ole Miss and Missouri because the SEC is not getting more than 4 teams in. We have to win three of those games.

Yup Ole Miss is pretty much a must win. Would be nice to win these next 4, they're all winnable games, and would put us in a good spot.

Pay checks are pay checks bro :dunno:

That's what I don't I don't like about the contracts all coaches are given these days. They get paid no matter what. I wish if I sucked at my job they would pay me for the next few years to not work for them.

If Ole Miss is smart they will play zone all day. We've been missing Richardson's mid range jumper the last few games which is much needed against the zone. Need him to bounce back

Here's a game I think we definitely need to push the pace in transition. The passing needs to be much improved from the Fla game. I haven't really watched Ole Miss much, but on paper they look like they match up reasonable well with us. Unfortunately unless we all of a sudden get hot from 3, I think this game will be closer than it should be. But I think we pull it out

Being at home I think we will shoot better

Well you're in luck. Ole Miss plays a lot of zone. I think they have an advantage at guard and we have an advantage in the post. Whether we'll be able to get the ball into Stokes and Maymon and they make shots or get fouled and make their free throws remains to be seen.

If I had the roster and the depth, I'd press UT the entire game. It worked for Fla. It didn't work as well for LSU or Ark when they pressed.

They don't have a lot of frontcourt length, but they block a lot of shots. that is worrisome.
