I took a list that ranked the teams based on RPI, SOS, and Winning %. I then took the committee's tournament list ranking teams from 1-65 and compared the two.

Ohio State was the biggest winner, coming out 23 spots ahead of where they would be if they committee when solely based on RPI, SOS, and Winning %. Georgia Tech was the biggest loser, ranked 20 spots behind where they would be if rankings were done based on RPI, SOS, and Winning %

Biggest Winners
Ohio State - +23
BYU - +16
Marquette - +13
New Mexico - +11
Michigan State - +11
Notre Dame - +10
Saint Marry's - +10

Biggest Losers
Georgia Tech - -20
SDSU - -18
Cal - -16
Tennessee - -14
Louisville - -13
Texas A&M - -10

That's pretty cool. If UT can get past Georgetown I would like their chances against OSU.

I see SDSU is also on the big losers list.

I always love working with statistics like this, but I have to question the results a bit...

I see a few names on the biggest winners list who deserve their seeding, and Cal on the biggest losers list, who IMO is seeded too highly.

But the biggest winner of the day -- though they wouldn't pop up here -- has to be Duke. They were a #1/#2 but the committee did their best to hand them a Final Four on a silver platter.
