No doubt gets my vote for Coach of The Year so far...I think it's safe to say NO ONE including delusional PSU fans would have thought they would be 5-2 with wins over Northwestern and Iowa after all the issues....I honestly thought they would be lucky to win 3 games all season.

I actually didn't think that Penn State would fall off that much this year. The real damage seems like it will come in upcoming seasons, as weaker recruiting classes take over.

I was a bit surprised by their terrible start, but they've gotten back on track quickly. I think O'Brien has done a good job, but I'd still put him way behind Bill Snyder.

I'd put Cutcliffe and Will Muschamp over him, as well. Going 6-2 at Duke is amazing. And I think Muschamp has exceeded all expectations this season (unfortunately).

Since when does beating a some terrible football teams with someone else's players make someone noteworthy? Hasn't Virginia lost six straight after beating Penn State?

Penn State's record is as much as testament of how pitiful the Big 10 is as it is O'Brien's coaching ability.

Bill Snyder is COTY hands down, unless they collapse. Dan Mullen, David Cutcliffe, Will Muschamp my other choices.

Bill has done a great job with all the players leaving and circumstances surrounding the program.

What is impressive about o'brien is his ability to push past the crazy and get his guys focused enough to play. When the talent gap starts to widen they may slip but PSU may have accidentally signed themselves a real coach, not just a throwaway.

After their opener I though 0-fer was a legitimate possibility. Good for those guys

Snyder or Muschamp

As bad as I hate to admit it Muschump has done a very good job with the Gators .
They did not look very good at the beginning of the year and have shown improvement every game.

Excuse me while I go throw up.

pretty solid list and I would agree for the most part. I think my mid season list would look like

Bill Snyder
Riley
Boom
Cut
