Bill Snyder/Phil Fulmer comparison

Do people realize that Snyder wins at K-State because he's essentially a control freak that doesn't get the best talent and his assistants (most of which are or were big time coaches Bielema, the Stoops, Mark Mangino, etc) happened to be good administrative hires by Snyder. Fulmer nor UT are of that same profile nor will they ever be? I get tired of hearing the comparison because it's not relevant to our situation at all. Snyder supposedly eats one meal a day and has no life and that's why K-State wins. Need I bring up Phil?

Fulmer definitely should be our fall back guy. He could bring in Tee Martin and maybe John Chavis. A lot better than what we could end up with.

How are you so sure CHavis would come back?

He has a much better job at UT than here?

There is no comparison, Snyder RETIRED at K-State a few years back, Fulmer got fired because he hired an offensive cooridnator that couldn't score on a middle school defense.

Being Phil back keep Chaney bring Tee in to be groomed as OC

Let Phil go get Chavis or Steele or a BIG DC

Exactly. Not only that, it'd look bad if the school hired back the coach that started this mess

I'll never fully understand the reason for wanting to bring back Fulmer. Why? So we can be right back where we were at square one in 2008?

It's like some people forget the main reason we got rid of him in the first place.

Fulmer had great coordinators he was never really an Xs and Os guy himself. His best characteristic is that he could make the kids feel like family and that's why so many talented guys came here. But toward the end he started focusing more on living life and enjoying it, and I can't blame him, but that was the start of the end. He stopped recruiting as hard and college recruiting never stops.

Stability ..... He only has 2 losing seasons

I opened up the Phil **** storm up sorry guys. Phil Fulmer won't come back--doesn't need to come back.....and neither will John Chavis (leaving LSU and shots at National Titles compared to the sink whole we've become?). It will never happen. ever. and nor should it. Living in the past is not going to get us winning in the future.

The whole reason why I brought it up is because it seems like the Fulmer-ites bring up Bill Snyder like the situations are similar--and they aren't in any way shape or form...They just aren't...

stop with the phil stuff geez!!! it's time to let phil go get a job elsewhere which he is still struggling to do so why should we bring him back

His last 5 were are very average.

Although we did back into the SECCG somehow that one year.

We were not nationally relevant under fulmer since 2002ish?

So.....eating one meal a day is the key to being a successful college coach? What time to they eat this meal? Does it have to be lunch, or can it be breakfast? Any guidelines on exactly what to eat? Eggs ok? Or does it have to be salad? This is really fascinating.

Stability was nice with Dooley...and if Phil were to ever come back (which he wouldn't) he get his a** handed to him on a weekly basis by the upper echelon of this league. He got fired because of a lot of reasons but getting lapped recruiting wise was one of them.

For the love of all that's holy....we really have fallen as a fan base.

You are cute buddy..my point is that Fulmer doesn't subscribe to that same lifestyle towards success. Do you have a boner for Phil or something?

We have payed Fulmer enough. Enjoy your life and watch football. I think Jimbo Fisher or Charlie Strong will be our next coach.

Tee to be groomed as OC? Tee wasn't exactly the cerebral QB when at UT. If he were he would be playing in the NFL right now.

The CPF people are the same ones that absolutely run the 98 championship team into the ground. They act like recruits who are 17 or 18 years old should be amazed by the 98 team.. They were like 4 years old and they are being recruited by teams that have won multiple championships in thier life time. Let the CPF stuff go , he's not coming back even if he wanted to.
