It will turn out to be a good hire for Texas Tech. Gillespie will get them back into the NCAA's in a couple of years.

You Cat fans are trash imo. BCG is a good dude and as soon as he was hired at UK I knew he was to classy for u and it would be a bad mix.
Btw he no longer drinks and is doing a ton of work with MADD. BCG has more class in his little finger than your entire fan base has. Now go worship at the alter of your racist hero Rupp.

A good dude? hahaa...yeah, so great that the whole team was going to walk out on him if he stayed. Please show me an example of class. Was it the time he rudely bit back at the reporter in the middle of the game for just asking normal questions, or maybe the time he belittled his player (Jasper) coming off surgery so he'd play hurt? Or, my favorite; BG hiding boxes full of Jodie Meeks t-shirts in his office that Nike had sent him in celebration of what he did in TBA. BG didnt praise or give any players any credit that he didnt bring in. The list goes on..

As for his drinking...you're hilarious. We all said the same thing after his 3 DUI's. "Oh, thats in his past, he's a better man now". Then he gets another DUI in KY after being fired. Keep dreaming. Maybe they'll have a driver for him in TX so he can booze without hiding it.

It is a well-documented fact that BCG was a drunk at UK and TAMU. My post referred more to the fact that the large fishbowl that he lived in in Lexington is not really a factor in Lubbock. Trashy post, not really. Statements of fact. If he decided to turn his life around, great. Good for him. But I will believe it when I see it.

There was also the time he locked Josh Harrellson in the bathroom stall at halftime. Or the time that he kicked Jodie Meeks off the team for "shooting too much." LOL!

Depends on the company. If taking multiple shots and fondling 18 yr old coeds while snapping pictures at keenland is classy, he's the man. FWIW, Billy was a great Guy the few times I ran into him and he is a good coach, it was just a case of a square peg and round hole.

Exactly. Clyde is who he is and that's what you get when you hire him. He's not married, so the womanizing is neither unethical or out of line. Talked to multiple people who are tight with him recently and he's been faithful to the AA program. Texas Tech has hit a tape measure homer.
