Does anyone know if there's a definitive or even good biography of Robert Neyland? He wasn't just an amazing coach, he was an incredible American hero and lived one of the most interesting lives of anyone I've ever heard of. This Peter Burns thread explains just some of it.
I found one book written on him from 30 years ago (Gridiron General) that's not in print any more. I'm writing my dissertation on President Lincoln right now but I've spent a number of weeks kicking around the idea of writing a bio of the General once I'm done. The biggest problem is that I don't live in Knoxville any more. But with I may try to give this a shot. It would take years and you guys could save me some time if you knew of something. Anyone heard of anything?
