Same thing happened when I committed to play QB for UT. Damn Fulmer :realmad:

Any chance this is a joke? No way the kid thought he could get away with it

well he is a legit recruit apparently. doesn't look like it was a joke. the initial rumor was that some kid was pretending to be tedford and talking to him. but after he said he went on a recruiting visit to Cal, it seems obvious that it was the recruit who made up the whole thing.

thats funny..my cousin tried to do the same thing to me way back in the day when I was being recruited by a couple of very small schools to play hoops :eek:lol:

If its just some kids playing a prank on him than that is really mean. I hope thats not the case because if it is, then I feel really bad for the kid.

well if he says he has been on a visit, then he is obviously the one behind this.

the kid maybe a bit delusional...kinda sad...hoping to get recruited and no one is interested so he makes it up...

Heard that on the radio this morning....I guess he was trying to guilt Tedford into offering a scholly...

When the TFPs Stephen Hargis wrote his story on this guy in Nevada, he related a similar story here locally that I did not remember...

All of this reminded me of the story of former Brentwood Academy running back Tito Lee, who told his family he had accepted an offer from Middle Tennessee State University.

After packing his belongings into the family car, he told his mother he had forgotten something in the house.

Minutes later, when his mother went to check on him, she found he had committed suicide and left a note explaining that he had made up his recruitment and was sorry for disappointing his family.

The pressures to please really are enormous on these kids.
