The Lady Vols played Gonzaga up here three years ago. It was pretty cool, a lot more orange in the crowd than I figured.

$7? I thought they let anyone in with a can of beans for the needy.

Thats what i was thinking. They got ripped off. i cant stand to go to Lady Vols games for all the fans that bring their partners if you know what I mean. I can root for the Lady Vols from home so I am not subject to the atmosphere.:yuck::twocents:

Did you go the men's game against the Zags at Key Arena a couple of years ago? Great day with my son and a Big Orange win also!

Good to see you support the LV's and Pat, particularly through this period with her health problems. I've never noticed "atmosphere" that you speak of.

No! I had tickets and was supposed to go, then all of a sudden I was desperately needed at work so I couldn't go. The reason for having me at work never actually happened. Oh I was so pissed.

Bigots, just like gay people, are everywhere...and apparently on VN too. Better lock the doors DSV in case some of that gayness gets on you...I hear its contagious. Hide yo kids, hide yo wives!!

Yes - what is wrong with this people?

Nothing that I know of. They enjoy watching the games as others enjoy watching other particular sports. I don't watch any pro sports but I don't think there is anything wrong with anyone who enjoys them.:hi:

A man happy to take his family to a game starts a nice, light thread and it spirals downhill into this. Bigotry and stupidity seem to go hand-in-hand.

Good to know it wasn't just me who was taken aback by this. Then again, even though most of Seattle is pretty open minded, there are still those who don't root for the WNBA's Seattle Storm for this same reason. Maybe not that they want to avoid the "atmosphere," but that they don't want to have the reputation of a man (or woman) who goes to WNBA games.
