Even though the lions had a losing season, I'm kind of stunned at the firing of Jim Schwartz. He's the first coach in forever to get them to the playoffs in a very tough division. I would have given him one more year.

Playoffs? He only went there one time with them.

Maybe the Titans will hire him after Munch is let go.

I know, but considering they were the worst team in the league forever and he got them turned around.

Rob Chudzinski - Cleveland Browns fired after 1 year. What did the owner want a Super Bowl? Some better players wouldn't hurt

Yeah this firing shocked me as well. I mean 1 year? Geez that's barely enough time to do anything. Especially with a team like the Browns.

Lions division title was set up on a platter for them 4-5 weeks ago. Swept the Bears and Aaron Rogers was hurt. Then went on to suck it up.

Bill O'Brien of Penn State has taken the Texans job and it will be interesting to see if Munchak comes back with the Titans next season.

Had to have been more going on behind the scenes than the fans knew.

I read that it was suggested to him that he needed to cut 2 specific players and he ignored that suggestion. Basically it was a power move to show who is in charge.
