Oklahoma was likely to become the number one ranked team this Monday. Unfortunately for them, they couldn't close things out.

The Sooners lost to hated rival Texas tonight, 73-68, but the big headline from the contest was the fact that star OU Center Blake Griffin left the game early and did not return with an apparent concussion.

Does the injury seem like something that could sideline Blake for a while, and hurt Oklahoma's chances at winning the Big XII and/or a #1 seed in the tourney?

My cousin hit his head in a volley ball game and even though he was able to function he said there were about 3 weeks he never could remember. Depends on how bad the concussion is . He didn't appear to have a clue where he was at after the hit .

I hope he's alright , he's a heck of a BB player . Maybe the best in college .

Yeah there are different degrees of concussions. I had 2 through my football career and one I just puked a bunch and had a headache and the other I had no idea where I was and lost memory of a couple days. So it all depends on how bad it is

I don't see how he got a concussion from getting hit in the head with the guys arm on a rebound attempt.

It didn't look like much , but when they showed him on the bench he had no clue what was going on around him. His eyes looked ........well distant .

Wow, I wasn't aware of the severity of a concussion. Thanks for filling me in, guys.

Looks like Oklahoma is struggling without him. They need his presence to not only score points, but to pass the ball, set up the offense, and gather rebounds.

Are you sure?

I know Kansas is a good team...but they're not that good...

Oklahoma is a one-man show...they won't make it past the Sweet 16 without Griffin
