Hopefully they can keep The Messiah in check until America wakes up.

The Blue Dogs will be the key to keeping Obamacare off the books.

Interesting statement from the article.

The Blue Dogs have been summoned to the White House and urged to get on board. They've been summoned for negotiations by House Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Henry Waxman, D-Calif., and stormed out in anger.

Now, Democratic-leaning groups are running ads against them. A spot by Health Care for America Now (HCAN) and the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees union says, "Tell Congressman Ross support reform now. It's your health. It should be your choice."
How ironic. Ads touting 'your choice' advocating giving your choice to Obama and his idiotic minions.

I have as much faith in the Blue Dogs to hold firm against Pelosi as I did in Bill Frist to actually show some backbone during Bush's judicial nominations.

They have been "summoned" to come get a taste of good ole Chi-Town style politics.

Dear Friend,

If you’re like most Americans, there’s nothing more important to you about health care than peace of mind.

Given the status quo, that’s understandable. The current system often denies insurance due to pre-existing conditions, charges steep out-of-pocket fees – and sometimes isn’t there at all if you become seriously ill.

It’s time to fix our unsustainable insurance system and create a new foundation for health care security. That means guaranteeing your health care security and stability with eight basic consumer protections:

No discrimination for pre-existing conditions
No exorbitant out-of-pocket expenses, deductibles or co-pays
No cost-sharing for preventive care
No dropping of coverage if you become seriously ill
No gender discrimination
No annual or lifetime caps on coverage
Extended coverage for young adults
Guaranteed insurance renewal so long as premiums are paid
Learn more about these consumer protections at Whitehouse.gov.

Over the next month there is going to be an avalanche of misinformation and scare tactics from those seeking to perpetuate the status quo. But we know the cost of doing nothing is too high. Health care costs will double over the next decade, millions more will become uninsured, and state and local governments will go bankrupt.

It’s time to act and reform health insurance, drive down costs and guarantee the health care security and stability of every American family. You can help by putting these core principles of reform in the hands of your friends, your family, and the rest of your social network.

Thank you,
Barack Obama

orangeblooded2 could care less how much it costs the taxpayer, he's in a union and the unions will be exempt from Teleprompter Jesus' socialized medicine fiasco.

Yes, because basing your system on bankrupt systems is always a great idea Barry.

Man this guy is an idiot. And anyone that honestly believes this is going to drive down costs is an idiot.

You know, not that I'm in favor of UHC, but some people say that it will cost the taxpayer less money.

For example, in France, the government spends $569 less per person on health care than in the United States.

Source?

Plus correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't taxes higher in France?

Why not. France has an average life expectancy of 79.73(US is at around 75) years at birth, and was rated 1st worldwide, at one time.

then go live there, develop pancreatic cancer, and report back to us how good life is.

the only thing that France does better than the US is their nuclear power infrastructure.

france's gdp grows at half the pace of ours, their middle class is far poorer, and their unemployment rate has been 5-10% higher for decades.

Yeah, the level of care is equal!
