Good for him......dont remember him ever really hitting the field here that I recall, but seems like he's made a nice career for himself. Hopefully he can show some stuff the rest of the season to put on his resume when they fill the HC spot.

Is Jim Bob still coaching in the league?
Yes, he took the job as Shane Steichen's OC with the Colts. Lots of good young talent to work with, too. A lot remains to be seen with Anthony Richardson and whether he can stay healthy and be a legit NFL passer, but they locked up Jonathan Taylor, they got nice nucleus of WRs in Michael Pittman, Josh Downs, and Alec Pierce, and one of the better OLs in the NFL.

Traded in a deal for Patrick Willis..
Ooooh, that was one of Phil's big misses. Hardegree was a clear cut package deal to get his 5* LB teammate. Unfortunately for UT, Bo just squatted on the scholly while the can't miss LB missed. Patrick Willis was superstar that we passed on, at the cost of 2 schollies iirc.

Daniel Brooks was the LB we took Hardegree to help land. Both from Jackson Central Merry. Hardegree was a legit tennis talent, too, as I remember.

Zach moss is better than Taylor. Should've let Taylor go and picked up another key position.

Not sure about "better", but Moss was certainly more affordable and a FA after this year. They could have extended Moss for a similar amount of time for a third of the cost and improved the TE position, secondary, or extended other areas with the savings.

Hardegree learned under David Cutcliffe who is one of the best at knowing and teaching football offense
Did Hardagee graduate? I may be getting him mixed up with Kelly (the baseball player), but I can't remember which one used up their eligibility.

Hardegree was at UT from 03-06, IIRC.

Casey Kelly never made it to campus. He signed with the Red Sox after the MLB Draft after his senior year of high school. He was a 1st rd pick of Boston. Bounced around between the minors and MLB but never really stuck anywhere. 2-11 career record with a 5.46 ERA.

Wow. Bo Hardegree becoming an NFL OC would have shocked me back in 2003-2006. We lived on the same floor of Gibbs for two years. He was a nice enough guy... just a bit of a airhead. My memory is that most of the players considered him "dumb" and he was the butt of a lot of jokes.

The strangest thing that happened was around Spring 2005 when a small explosion ripped through the ceiling of the Varsity Inn (the Cafeteria at Gibbs). Bo had been lighting firecrackers in his dorm room, throwing them in the toilet and flushing them. One managed to blow apart a pipe, sending a steady stream of water and sewage into the Varsity Inn kitchen. VI was closed for two days to repair the damage and we all had eat at Presidential.
