Was there anyone that thought we'd lose in over time??? No way... good job Rick and the rest of the team... what an amazing win. Go VOLS!!!

Especially when we won the toss and got to go on defense first. I was confident that there was no way LSU was getting into the end zone . . . and that LSU defense was running on fumes.

Exactly... I don't know if it was the fact that they had only played one game but they had 0 steam at the end. Did anyone see Rick and "The Hitman" laughing during the toss??? What a win...

You could tell during the coin toss that Rick was loving life. He knew we had them on the ropes.

There's one other thing... I swear the last kickoffs into the endzone for a touchback were huge... the way that guy was returning the kicks(and punts)... I'm not saying special teams was good in the least... just the last three kicks in the endzone...

I agree. I was cringing every time we kicked afraid that Green was going to burn us.

Yep, I saw that smirk-smile on his face. Nothing like a confident ole gunfighter. :)

7-1 now in OT? DANG! The Vols know how to put 'em away when we get to the extra periods... and who did it? All 25 yards on a nice little dose of GRJ! He ran hard in the game... he was a MONSTER in OT!

Yep... Riggs... still... they just pulled together... I swear you could just see the momentum changing and LSU getting scared towards halftime... it was there...

That's why I was wanting a FG on first down. :D After seeing LSU's D with their hands on their hips and our OT record. It worked out though didn't it?

7-1 in ot, yes, but you know who the 1 loss was to...

I couldn't get that outta the back of my mind when going to overtime.

Thank God we held them and scored.

I had no doubt the D would hold... really the LSU offense struggled against our D much like UF did... spotting them 14 points put our D in a corner, and they responded all night... except that BS play on the toss back to Russell... looked like a busted play to me... maybe it was supposed to look that way.

Flea Flicker? If thats the one your speaking of. If so, Thats the way it looks and works when executed right. Used to lure LBs, DBs to bite on the run.
We can look back now and say nice call Lester, But on a lesser Defense it could have been to that olympic sprinter down the side-lines. :nono:
