Does the NIL, which <wink, wink> isn't connected to a school or play, stop if he goes pro? I'm sure pro players get endorsements too.Quick question do you think Bo stays at Oregon for another year or go to the NFL? Rumor is that his first year NFL salary will be lower than his NIL money.
Thoughts...

Edit: it makes no sense to stay if he thinks he's ready and can make the league. One more year of NIL vs multi year rookie deal in the NFL and perhaps beyond. What's to gain by staying?
Honestly, he's not going to be a star QB in college either, is he? I think it's very unlikely he has a "break out year" and raises his draft stock very much.I personally think he will be more successful as a college QB. I just don't think he has an NFL arm. He's one hell of a competitor and I'd expect him to be a solid NFL QB just not a star QB

If he's ready now and can hold a clipboard, wear a headset and mop up/backup in the NFL respectably, he'll have a comfortable and good career. That's more than most college QBs could ever hope for.
Interesting take. "I don't think he's good enough to play at the pro level, but I think he's got a good chance at the Heisman."I actually think he could win the Heisman at Oregon next year. He's definitely not the same QB he was at Auburn or early this year at Oregon. If he didn't get hurt late in the year I think Oregon makes the playoffs. We lost two games with him playing on one leg. And those were close. The guy is a really tough competitor. Reminds me a bit of Marcus Mariota.

Caleb Williams is. Bryce Young is. Joe Burrow was. Kyler Murray was (debatable, I'll agree,) Mayfield is an idiot......
If Nix is Heisman material, he'd be ready for the league. You don't think he is, but you think he is.
This was, by far, his best year. Do you think he still has room for significant improvement on the collegiate level?
For those who haven't kept close track on him since he left the SEC, Nix threw for 1,100 yards more than in 2021, more than doubled his touchdown pass total from the previous year, and improved completion percentage by 10.5 % to 71.5. By comparison, his completion % for his three years at Auburn was only 59.4%, and he completed only 39 TD passes in those three years (vs. 27 in 2022).
I agree entirely but recent Heisman guys have been NFL ready. I'm not against Nix getting another year of college but I'm not sure he'll benefit that much...... unless he does ball out and win the Heisman.Lots of Heisman winners have been busts in the NFL. I just think a couple things make him a better college qb than NFL qb. First, he can run and that works better at the college level. Second, the NFL likes QBs with cannons for arms, that's not Nix. Hence my comments.
Winning the Heisman doesn’t necessarily equate to being a NFL - caliber player. If you’re at a P5 program with a favorable schedule, solid coaching, surrounded by a lot of talent, etc… You could very well end up winning it and not doing much in the pros. I think back to players like Manziel and Tebow. Both are widely regarded as two of the best college QB’s of all time, but neither were built for the NFL.Interesting take. Tebow was a throwback QB, even for college. Great athlete but he wasn't even near a typical college QB.Winning the Heisman doesn’t necessarily equate to being a NFL - caliber player. Edit: I see where you already acknowledged this point
That’s a terrible take. Danny Wuerffel,Interesting take. "I don't think he's good enough to play at the pro level, but I think he's got a good chance at the Heisman."
