There is a good chance that the board software may be updated this weekend. If this does happen, there are a few things that you will need to know and I wanted to give you as much notice as possible.

First, and most important is that your password will not work. You will be able to click on a link that will allow you to reset it. I will have complete instructions and my email address visible at the top of the main page in case you have any issues.

Second, the arcade will be down for a few days. I should be able to get the arcade back up and running shortly and I am hopeful that I can import all of the top high scores. I don't think this will be an issue.

Third, some of the board features will change. The look and functionality will be slightly different. I will have theads in the help forum explaining the changes and new features.

Lastly, the board may be down from late friday night to Saturday morning. Hopefully, most of you won't notice but worst case there may be a little down time.

Please post here if you have any questions or concerns.

Now EVERYONE will have to be a PostJunkie!

Hey Freak, will we lose our VN post count? Also, you should sticky this. :freak:

I will accept the change, however, I can't promise I am going to enjoy the vBulletin format as much as I enjoy this one.

If you want a preview of what vBulletin looks like... www.postjunkies.com uses vBulletin... which I can only deem Freak's test of vBulletin. I like it... but I've also been used to having VN be Invision for so long. :dunno:

Have you used it? I am trying to tweak it to make it very very close to how we have it now.

Are you using the VBulletin software to do the pick-em?
Not at this point, the pickem will be separate just like the March Maddness Pool was. I have talked to a coder about having one in vb directly but I don't know if it will be done in time.

I use it over on PostJunkies, every now and then. I guess I am just more comfortable with the VN format. I was also pretty much just giving you a hard time. As long as the posting continues on VN, I will enjoy the site.

Hey Freak, it may be a little late to ask, but do you think it would be possible to either change the Pick'ems to include lines(ex. UT-2 vs Cal) or have a seperate Pick'ems to include them?

It's not too late. We can discuss it. I would prefer not to have two contests but it can be done. I think in years past the lines tend to confuse some that aren't famiar with them.

Maybe you could have a legend on the post explaining what they mean and such. I think it could add a challenge, but it isn't a big deal.

I like just picking wins and losses myself...

And I see that the Freak hasn't listened to me and pinned this thing. :(

Picking with the spread sucks. If I wanted to do that I'd go gamble some real money.

Like others, I've got used to and really like the current software for VN, but will accept the change.

I like the current software too Tiddy. Hopefully I'll be able to make the difference on the surface as little as possible.

There have been to many security issues with this software lately and I am tired of patching it. Plus I think we will be able to add some new features that we can all enjoy.

Thanks for the support even though you aren't 100% convinced. :biggrin2:
