Boeing vs the NLRB

they are not even moving any production, they are expanding production. The 787 is severely behind schedule and if they dont meet production levels, they will lose $$ with airlines who have placed orders.

These Unions are playing a dangerous game as this will only force companies to move overseas

Former employee of Boeing here. I've heard of grievences being filed when people moved their own stuff to another cubicle in the same room. No kidding.

And yes, these guys are playing a dangerous game here.

As a DoE employee (contractor actually) I saw the same issue at ORNL.

This was the mid-80s grant you but when someone got a new computer members from one union delivered it to the office, members from another union unpacked the computer and positioned on the desk where you would like it and members from a third plugged it in and did the initial set up.

Anyone caught rearranging furniture would get a grievance.

Ludicrous.

This is such a joke.
So if Boeing wanted to close shop and move to China that stuff happens all the time, but they cant move to South Carolina.

My uncle sets up plants, and he always hates going up north. If it isn't in their job description, they don't do it.

amazon wasn't bluffing when california did something similar. in reality we probably need to institute a national internet sales tax.

I heard/read somewhere that they need like 17 of these sites by 2013 to sustain growth, and the place is already built (I think).

As a resident of GA, I am not complaining about the SC vote

I have no problem with taxing consumption, even a 1% per transaction tax would generate billions. Unfortunately, the doofuses in Washington DC would waste no time in wasting the revenues on garbage like high speed rail or solar/wind farm subsidies.

What the Unification Boards, oops, I meant the NLRB, is doing to Boeing is wrong from any direction you look at it.

It is bad economics.

It is unconstitutional.

It is anti-freedom.

It is anti-worker (believe it or not, unions hurt workers much more often than they help them).
