Charles Barkley just said this was Bogus the way Hammy has handled this "Pearl" of an issue. he also said,that Hammy should have been fired for hiring lame kitty..this is just another black -eye, thanks Hammy....:banghead2:

This is all coming from a guy lucky to be employed after driving around drunk looking for hookers. Charles has a moral compass about a straight as his golf swing

If hammy was going to fire Pearl he should have did it when it came out, or at least when he found out about the "Bump". If he fires him now it just looks stupid. I guess Hammy is used to looking stupid by now.

Good for Charles. I am all for turning up the heat on Hamilton especially after the nonsense he pulled yesterday. Completely unprofessional move on Hamilton's part. Pearl has more support than some people think and this is going to get interesting in the next few days.

ever hear barkley mention how he never went to class when he played at auburn under sonny smith.

hilarious.

i remember kenny smith teasing him about north carolina basketball vs. auburn basketball. charles said it proved he was smarter because dean smith actually made y'all go to class. i didn't have to go to class.

If Hamilton had fired Pearl earlier, then it would disrupt our effort to go far in the NCAA. Hell, if he had fired him earlier, we may not have even made it to the NCAA. It took us up to the last game before we were solidly in the NCAA. Had he fired Pearl a few weeks ago, I would think that the team would stop giving any effort and we fail to qualify for the NCAA.
Had Hamilton fired Pearl, probably no NCAA appearance and that would mean loss of performance based bonuses.
If Hamilton messes up this hire, then he will be packing his bags. He can't hire a Buzz or a Wade, this time. He has to be right on the money or he will lose his job.

Unless Barkley was recently appointed to a NCAA committee on infractions or ethics, couldn't care less what he says. The thought that Mike Hamilton main cause of the black eye UT has is absurd. I think Hamilton was foolish yesterday, and many days, but the fact that people are focused more on Charle Barkley's comments or Hamilton's timing, is nothing but a deflection of the fact that Pearl has brought more embarrassment to UT in this ordeal than anyone. Does Barkley have some influence with recruits? Recent years of Auburn bball seem to indicate that he doesn't. Pearl doesn't lie to the NCAA and we aren't having this discussion. Personal accountability matters, no?
