Did anybody see any reason for the ultra-convenient no-flag on USC's last drive? Looked to me like somebody's fairy god-ref threw it only to stop the clock b/c when the refs huddled, nobody in the group seemed to know what was going on.

the refs were bad tongiht...on both sides.

i thought TN got some calls late...USC got some calls early....it evened out in the end...but on the whole the refs were terrible imo.

The refs were putrid. No idea what they were looking at in the secondary. There were some unbelievable Pass Interference no calls. The one where Sidney Rice almost had his uniform pulled off was one of the worst missed calls I've ever seen. I saw it live from about 75 yards away.

That makes up for the ridiculous call on Wade earlier in the game. Also, there were an insane amount of holds that were missed. I know holding goes on all the time, but the refs missed numerous, really obvious holds.

I don't mind the holding calls since they are sometimes tough to see, but how in the world they missed the Defensive holding on us against Sidney Rice and the Pass Interference call on them on that deep pass is unreal. Both occurred in open space and they were right where the ball was headed, so there's no way the officials couldn't have been looking right at both those.

I'm telling you, these holds were obvious. I fail to notice holding pretty frequently, but I saw it all over the place tonight. Our defensive ends were held on about every play.

I really think the replay system has had a negative effect on officiating and has made them LESS decisive overall.

 give the coaches two challenges..1 per half. quit reviewing every play regardless.

so many conferences during the game...you had 5 officials talking for 2 minutes on an illegal procedure call.....

awful. was this the same crew that called the UGA/Ole Miss game? they were equally as bad.

The Great O has marked those heretics for execution.

How about the no call on offensive PI on Rice early in the game where he pushed off... in fact, they called it PI on Wade! Unbelieveable.

Or the one where Swain was pushed and tripped at the same time?

I agree with GaVol though, that one missed hold on Rice was very obvious, but SC had their fair share of calls and no calls.

i think we all agree...as would SC fans...that the officiating was not good.

There should be no officials on the field, only Coach O watching omnipotently and dispensing justice.
