With Rutgers bolting the Big East, ESPN Boise St is going to talk with the Mountain West about possibly coming back to them. I figured Chris Peterson was going to be a tad tougher once he got an opportunity to compete in a better league than he was in. But now maybe if senses going back to square one he will leave. Now Obviously I would rather have Jon Gruden but Bob Stoops and Chris Peterson would be in that next class.

He is not leaving Boise regardless of what conf they play in. Something about that area he loves and has turned down better jobs than UT.

What jobs has he turned down "better than UT"? I've looked and haven't found anything better than UT that has been offered to him.

Petersen has no say in what conference they play in.

Florida is much better right now and its not even close unfortunately. Im not sure he would do any better than Hawkins did when he left Boise and he was the one who got Boise on the map. Gruden will have us back up there with the Ala, UF, LSU of the world.

I wouldn't consider that "better". Especially right now compared to when Florida was looking for a coach. Their team was in shambles like we were when Dooley was hired.

They were nowhere close to what we were. Urban left them pretty loaded wiith talent.

Has to do with his son and the fact that Boise has the best Drs in the country to treat him. He's not leaving Boise.

You can google and find a hundred articles that contradicts this nonsense. Petersen's kid was treated 13 years ago in Oregon, not Boise. He has never received any "special" medical treatment in Boise. Never.

Hawkins may have been the coach when Boise started winning a lot, but Petersen is the one responsible for their success. You do realize Petersen was the offensive coordinator during Hawkins entire stay at Boise, right? I post this in another thread but I'll do it again. Hawkins w Petersen 53-11, Hawkins w/o Petersen 16-39.

Anyone who thinks Hawkins put Boise State on the map doesn't know enough about BSU football to be posting about it.

Has it been that long? Time goes by faster than I realized. I stand corrected.

Three things.

1. New article from SDSU's AD says both they and Boise State are still going to the Big East.
2. He turned down UT last time.
3. They were in the Mountain West last year when he turned down $4 million from UCLA.

Petersen has zero connections to the East Coast and his former DC left just last year because he didn't like coaching in the SEC.

Gruden is far more realistic.

You can't be serious. Florida is far better based on recruiting territory alone.
