I think it would be a great move for them and the Mountain West. I read on the Bottom Line that they could receive the Invite as soon as Monday

Also read that if accepted, they would start playing in the conference as soon as the '11 season

That'll be the beginning of the end of Boise's little fairy tale.

I wish TCU got a BCS opponent they would have actually cared to play. Nothing says letdown like possibly playing for the national title to playing in a game which no one gives a damn about, especially when you did nothing wrong.

To play for a NC game, you also have to have fans that are passionate about their team. TCU fans are not. They rarely fill their stadium and the fans didnt give a s__t until late, late in the year. Go look at their stadium's capasity then look at the the number of fans at their home games. Its pathetic. I asked my brother last year, who lives in Dallas, about TCU and how excited the city was about their run. He said nobody cared.

How does that effect playing for the title?

And fan support may suck, but if I was a recruit, I'd play in a city like Dallas where people don't care rather than play in Idaho.

While TCU didnt play an opponent that cared actually cared, neither did the TCU fans until the very end. If you want to play a respectable game, you also have to show you're ready. Not from the team, but from the fans that attend the games.

Oh yes. I forgot the BCS factored in stadium attendance into their polls now.

neither helps you go to the next level. Its not like the options are only (a) Dallas or (b) Idaho. There are 118 other.

GH, you're making no sense.

Boise can forget about going undefeated all the time, however if the mwc doesn't suffer any attrition (ESP. Utah or byu) then that ought to legitimize the conference as they'd be arguably better than the big east and acc.

It's hard for me to believe the ACC has been down this long.

Boise, TCU, BYU & Utah playing each other every year would be awesome. I think one the Utah schools goes to the Pac-10 with Colorado before it's all said and done.

Well if that happens, then at least the MWC is prepared team number wise for when the big 12 might snatch up tcu to make up for it's losses
