Looks like they'll be in position to do it when the rankings come out this week. Do they deserve it? Will they be able to beat LSU or bama?

I wouldn't be surprised if Clemson jumps them at some point but I am pretty sure if it come down Boise St. being the other undefeated I am pretty sure they will be going if there is no others... the LSU/Bama loser could possibly jump a 1-lose Boise, I think.

Here is my take, either Clemson or Boise St. on the other side with the lose of LSU/Bama as a possibility on the outside but I think Boise could definitely get a shot.

Alabama, LSU, Stanford, Clemson, Oklahoma State and Kansas State should all go over Boise State if they're undefeated. 1 loss Oregon team should go over Boise State too since that would give them future wins over Stanford and USC with their only loss coming to LSU. One Loss Alabama(with loss to LSU), one loss LSU(with loss to Bama), one loss Stanford(with loss to Oregon/USC), one loss Oklahoma State(with loss to Oklahoma/Kansas St) should all go over an undefeated Boise as well. A one loss Wisconsin might still be worthy of going over Boise too even though their schedule is fairly weak. Not as weak as Boise's

What about the undefeated Houston Cougars? They would deserve it as much if not more than Boise St. They would at least have to play a conference Championship Game to win out.

Eh... Houston has a downright filthy offense, but I don't know if they deserve it over Boise. Boise State proves it year in, year out, and going to the Deep South to take on Georgia is ballsy. I'd even go so far as to say that Boise has a tougher conference schedule than Houston.

It will take a truly insane set of circumstances (i.e. all major conference teams but one having 2+ losses) for Boise to make the title game.

They do and it isn't close. The C-USA isn't awful but it's at best the eighth best conference in America.

1 LSU 8-0 1489
2 Alabama 8-0 1448
3 Oklahoma State 7-0 1326
4 Stanford 7-0 1318
5 Boise State 7-0 1269
6 Clemson 8-0 1225

BSU needs Ok st, Stanford, and Clemson to lose to have a shot at it.

Clemson will drop one soon, they've benefited from a pathetic ACC and Georgia Tech is usually pretty good when the opponent only has seven days to prepare. Stanford may lose to either USC or Oregon, I'm still not sold on them yet.

What if Houston and Boise are the only undefeated teams at year end?
