I missed this...

Bollinger has yet to announce pricing, however they’re targeting “ranchers, builders, do-it-yourselfers” with a direct to consumer model and a price point comparable to a “nicely equipped sport utility vehicle.”

I missed that part as well. Too busy looking at the pictures. So this tells me it will be around $65K ish.

Borderline too good to be true design and small deposits on an unsure pricing model?

Sounds just like Elio.

I wouldn't hold my breath.

If that were the case, they wouldn't be able to produce them fast enough. Cheaper than a JK? I bet it's about double your guess...if it ever even makes it to production.

Looks pretty simple to me. Plus Tesla just came out with a 35k car which is way more sophisticated. They are only producing 10-15k and they are built per your specs and delivered to you. It may be higher than 35 but not double.

The car is expected to cost $60,000, and will look to begin deliveries within 19 months. Interested consumers can reserve a spot to the car on Bollinger’s website for free, and the company will begin taking $1,000 for reservations in 2018.

I maybe was wrong lol..

The Model 3 was designed to be affordable and mass-produced. This is a novelty limited-production truck complete with adjustable suspension/lift and winch that goes 0-60 in under 5 seconds. Apples and oranges.

You know, it's going to sound like a stupid question...

But why couldn't they add a set of solar panels to the roof of that thing to help trickle charge the batteries? I know it might not amount to much, but if you're out camping or fishing or even working and leaving your vehicle for a time every little bit helps.

Vaporware, just like the Elio.

That said, does anyone else think it bears more than a passing resemblance to Top Gear's Hammerhead Eagle i-Thrust?
