This is getting somewhat pathetic. As an alumni, I have chosen not to attend any more games or spend any more cash that will go to the athletic department. I suggest others to do the same if they are tired of this because money is only place you can really show your disappointment.

Also, I do think it is time to hire a new head coach. Coach Fulmer has meant a lot to the school, but he is now the 4th best coach just in the Eastern Conference. When Tennessee has to settle for 4th place in the East year in and year out is pathetic. We need to make the changes now before this becomes a reality. Let us slip to 6-5 for the next couple of years and then it will take another 7 or 8 years just to get the program back to respectable.

I was not a player during my years and therefore, I cannot speak for those guys. I hope they do not accept being a Music City Bowl team. The staff has not installed what an honor it is to play at the University of Tennessee. It takes a sense of tradition and honor not to let others walk all over you. We recruit players from all over that do not know what football is like here, but they are good athletes. Good athletes can only get you so far, coaching gets you to the elite status.

Next week we will see what it is like to have a pro coach against some high school coaches. Watch out, because there is a good chance this could get ugly. We will see how coaching can make decent players exceptional and bad coaching make exceptional players ordinary.

I say it is time to go after Bobby Petrino. I know many people here do not like him, but you have to admit what the man has done is incredible. And after all, is he really worse than this good-ole-boy network we have now. I say keep a couple of the coaches around for the tradition to continue, but this has gone too far.

Go Vols, and may God have mercy on your souls next week.

Hey, atleast some of us are Catholics.

I say Hamilton needs to give CPF an ultimatum to clean out the offensive staff or else first. CPF is a good figurehead for the university, but he needs a new oc, as well as some position coaches, and they need the freedom to do their jobs.

I agree with you. We need a new head coach. Sanders is Fulmer protege, he's never coached under anyone else eveything he has learned as an assistant has been under Fulmer. I dont blame him for these offensive woes. He runs the offense fulmer wanted. It would be much easier to hire a new coach and bring their staff in, instead of going out and hiring someone elses staff away from them.

I have not spent a dime, attended a game or donated funds since the Peach Bowl #2 against Clemson. Randy Sanders has driven me from my largest worldly passion. :mf_surrender:

Hamilton is a pawn for the football team. That man has no authority over Fulmer. The only man that has some pull with Phil is Haslam.
