Anyone who liked Jim Bouton's classic "Ball Four" should pick up Paul Shirley's "Can I Keep My Jersey." Easily one of the most entertaining sports books I've read in the last 10 years.

I've heard about "Ball Four" a good bit. Tell me a little bit about it.
Shirley is a guy that's bounced around the fringes of the NBA for years. He's spent a good part of his career playing overseas and in the CBA or the ABA. He has a really irreverent take on the absurdity that is life as a professional athlete. He's also a really good writer. While he played for the Suns, he used to write a column for ESPN.com's Page 2. I'd say you can find those in the cyberarchives.

He did a 40 min podcast with Chris Simmons (the Sports Guy) on ESPN.com on 5/21
