Does anyone remember the cheerleader Reggie from late 80's to early 90's who did that "Boom Chica Rocka Chica Rocka Chica Boom" cheer?

I miss that guy, he really loved the vols, great guy. I was a bartender at Ivy's/Bonkers on the strip and he used to come in at the end of the night and sing "Oh Canada" on the pa system. I miss the college days.

Heard it. Also heard his various duets with Tall Paul at bars throughout Knoxville.

When I say "Tall," you say "Paul. . ."

Wow. I miss the Library.

On a side note, for those who have departed God's country, TP still plays regularly, and he's still cool. Check out his website Tall Paul for schedule info.

Mel and Walk the West are Nashville bands and please do not even try to co-opt our 80s scene. Knoxville was just a payday while Nashville was a pleasure. I do seem to recall a Knoxville band from the 80s that sang a song about "Pegged in the Head With a Lawn Dart". They may have been named The Lawn Darts.

Gran Torino was the best and I was so pissed they broke up. I heard Dexter is with another band now playing the Knoxville scene.

The last time I saw Gran Torino in person was when they were touring the south and I met up with them in Richmond.

V-roys are another great Knoxvegas band too.
