With all the excitement for tomorrow I forgot boomsday was going on tonight. Anyone going?

Not going near that place. Would love to watch it but not worth fighting the crowds for anymore. Probably be 200,000 plus there tonight.

Been a few years since I've been to Boomsday. It used to be tradition for our family. Some years are better than others for Boomsday. This year someone decided it was a good idea to charge people who wanted prime viewing spots $20 a piece to get in. I'm assuming the majority of that covered a good portion of Neyland Drive where the vendors and everybody else typically are. The other bad thing was the fact that there was literally no wind tonight. When there is no wind all the smoke just sits there in the air and all you eventually see is a giant cloud of color changing smoke. I watched it on tv here at the house.

They tried to charge. State said they can't since Neyland has to be open to pedestrians. Refunds were given.

I thought that was good for folks wanting to go.

Ahhh, I hadn't heard that update. Thanks for letting me know!
