Fantastic work IMO.

And the Truly Yours mixtapes were just as good.

I almost question if mix tapes these days aren't better than albums. I hate lil wayne, but his mix tapes are better than his CDs. Drake had a mix tape that turned into a CD. J. Cole's best work, IMO, has been FNL and Truly Yours

There's no pressure on a mixtape. J. Cole actually talks about it on Born Sinner where he knew FNL was a classic yet they still wouldn't let him put out an album because they didn't know if he would have mainstream appeal. Can't remember which song dammit

Song from his album called "Let Nas Down". Cole basically says that Nas called him out for his singles from Sideline Story and that they were bad:

Speaking of artists with better mixtapes, Z do you like Mac Miller?

I just really never got the allure. My best friend likes him more than I do. There are times I can listen to him. But not usually my thing.

I'm very picky about my music. I listen just to rap, and have a certain style which I listen to. I'm not saying that's right, but that's just me.

Y'all hear Nas' response to let "Let Nas Down"? Drops a verse over the same beat, pretty sick.

I like what I've heard of Born Sinner.
