IMO this has been the greatest sports run for any city in the history of pro sports, no city had ever won a championship in the 4 major pro sports w/in a 7 year span until the city of Boston did.

Patriots Super Bowls: 2001, 2003, 2004

Red Sox World Series: 2004, 2007

Boston Celtics: 2008

Boston Bruins: 2011

Also throw in that the Patriots went 18-1 & were 1:30 minute away from winning a 4th Super Bowl & have won the AFC East 7 of the last 8 seasons.

The Celtics were 1 game away from winning another NBA title in 2010

The Red Sox were 1 game away from advancing to back to back World Series in '08 & are favorites to play in the WS this season.

Will this ever be repeated by any city ever IYO?

The Steelers won 4 SB's (1 more than the Patriots) & the Pirates won 2 WS's (same as the Red Sox). Dont think that would be a better run than Boston is on right now.

Boston's a cool city to visit in the summer. Went there and Cambridge when my sister graduated from Hahvad. Would never live there, though.

FWIW from 61-71 the Wisconsin area won 5 NFL championships and an NBA championship

If you add in a few more years you get 2 NCAA Hockey championships and an NCAA Basketball championship
