I know there was one last week, and one today. I heard that control of the Athletic department was on the agenda? Can anyone confirm this? Does anyone know the outcome?

Some of it was about the separate female ath dept that does not produce revenue and whether or not it should be combined. Football pays the bills for everyone and it is BS. I don't want the money I donate to pay for the women's water polo team to go play at UCLA and pay for their room and board because I don't watch the crap and neither does anyone else. time to stop robbing the football team while ticket sales are down and quit giving away free education. It is ridiculous

NCAA rules. Men and woman's sports must be treated equally.

football pays for everything. The university does not have a ton of money right now, but the haslam's do. All I am saying is that it needs to be scaled back during hard times. No offense to the female athletes at UT, they do win, but we hear about it, we don't see much of it on TV, which generates revenue. they have scholarships for baton twirling. We could use the resources in a more efficient manner

I am sure they appreciate you spending their money for them. Grow up and wise up.

I still donate, regardless of how the money is spent. I want the University to succeed in all phases. I don't have a say in how the money is spent. Many schools do not offer scholarships for sports(Maryville College). It is a blessing for them to get a free education
