to win.

This race is becoming increasingly ridiculous. Both sides have thrown any semblance of princinples out the window and lied, smeared and flip-flopped with alarming regularity.

McCain went low and Obama has gone as low or lower - his Social Security and deregulation fear-mongering are simply the latest examples. Both guys are spouting nonsense about how to fix the financial problem and their message changes daily.

I don't see how an undecided can decide at this point other than ignoring pretty much everything either guy says and simply going with their gut on what they THINK the guy will do if elected.

Once again we have candidates who simply cannot win on the issues, facts, and his own accomplishments, so they each resort to trying to make the other guy look so bad nobody will vote for him. Sad really. That we continually entrust our country to clowns like this. Where are the REAL leaders?

I do not believe the question revolves around the candidates' abilities to win on merit. I believe it revolves around the voters' abilities to vote on merit.

Upon reading the John Adams biography, I have come to the conclusion that this is not a modern phenomenon.
