Team to championship heights. That's ok....his ceiling remains high. Continue to recruit both LOS and let's see what Nico does as he matures. Go get some big uglies on OLine and DLine in the portal. Yes tonight is disappointing but I think Heupel is building a culture that will get the Vols in the hunt for a championship in future years.

We haven’t had a title caliber QB since the 90’s

what the **** are you even talking about? I’m not wasting my time reading past the first point because you’re so blatantly wrong.

Nico carried this offense today. Peyton Manning wasn’t winning this **** tonight

Nico had a good game tonight for a freshman leading his team into a very hostile environment. He didn’t turn the ball over, made some good throws…several of which should’ve been caught, made some good scrambles. Nico is growing. He will be fine.

Tbf he did turn the ball over there at the end, though he really should not have been playing that snap after how he walked off the field the snap before. Still, he was solid

OL is f***ing trash. Give Nico some OL that can actually block for 2 seconds and then we can talk about Nico. Piss poor effort by them week in and week out. Heard gets a false start on 4th and 5. Spraggins lets a guy straight up the A gap on 3rd down. I don't have enough time to list everything Dayne Davis messed up. And it has been that way all year.

I won’t hold that one against him. He had a solid game and grew a lot tonight. I’m not into moral victories, but that’s my “positive” takeaway.

Nico was great tonight. The defense was bad. And Heupel choose to dunk and dunk and play field position all night even though it was obvious we weren’t going to be able to stop their offense. Every game has its own identity and when they drive down the field at the end of the half with like 1:20 seconds to go… our coaching staff needed to adjust and recognize this wasn’t going to be a low scoring slug fast. You have to be able to win a slugfest or a shootout and can’t always dictate what type of game you get to play in.

This is bull. Hendon Hooker was 100% a title caliber qb. That is not questionable.

A good argument could be made for Dobbs.

Even Tyler Bray could be considered.

The biggest factor in being a title caliber Qb is being on a title caliber team. Go look at some of Bamas “title caliber” qbs.

Desperation play at the end of the game where you're trying things you wouldn't normally. I mean you aren't wrong. But it's a technicality.

Spragg has been a liability. He may be the player I’m most disappointed in this season. Frequently looks confused, blocks either the wrong guy or blocks air.

We didn't score in the second half. That's sucks. But we had 4 possessions with 1 being down 2 scores? Defense let us down today.

Do y’all have any ability to analyze a football game besides “We won so QB good” and “We lost so QB bad”? Nico was not in the top five things to go wrong tonight
Yes. They are also capable of blaming play-calling and calling it “predictable.” Because football is simply a game of trickery. Apparently.

Finally someone that sees what is going on. Nico is late with his throws or completely misses the open person because he does not yet have the savvy of anticipating the receiver coming open. That is the biggest reason our passing yards are down--especially yards after catch
