I haven't been to this game for a while, so I don't know when Vandy changed this policy, but ... Vandy is no longer sticking UT fans up on the 3rd tier! They are actually selling tickets online for the 1st & 2nd tiers (but not the comfy chairs). So I will be there, yelling my head off for our Lady Vols. Hope to see a lot of you there!

Unfortunately for Vandy their program has declined into a mediocre program and the fan interest has declined considerably. like ours is heading, hell it's nearly there now. I would not be surprised if they, Vandy, don't make a coaching change soon.
I can remember going to games there where the arena was nearly full, with half the fans pulling for the Lady Vols. We use to hate Coach Foster, but he was a very good coach. don't know what happened at tosu.

Honestly, while the UT game filled Vandy's gym many times in the past, I don't believe there was ever a 50-50 ratio until Vandy started restricting tickets to that game. Even when Foster was there, there were more UT fans than Vandy fans, and most games, the gym was very clearly more orange. That's why they changed their policy. But you are right that Vandy once had a healthy fan base, and they are now unhappy with Melanie Balcomb. I'm just glad to be able to watch UT from someplace other than the rafters again.

Obviously you haven't been in a while. The last few years I've had no problem moving down to a lower bowl seat (with a back). The game isn't the draw it used to be, and there are tons of empties....
