Clemson recruits are currently decommitting.

Both Loston and Holloman are now open for other schools. Do we have a chance at either of these players or any other Clemson recruit?

The downside is that this shows what happens when a coach gets canned.

We need to worry about keeping our own recruits. i know you didn't mean it this way, but I don't want to relish someone elses similar situation.

If anything, we need to pay close attention to Clemson the next 6 weeks. Who they go after, what these HC have to say about Clemson, how their recruits react. Just please God, I pray Tommy Bowden isn't brought up for UT's job!

Per Tiger Illustrated on the Clemson Rivals page regarding DeVonte Holloman.

The 6-foot-2, 214-pounder took an official visit to Tennessee a few weeks ago and has an official scheduled with South Carolina this weekend and with LSU for Oct. 24. What other schools could get into the mix?

"I liked Tennessee but I keep hearing rumors about Phillip Fulmer as well and I don't want to go into a situation like I've been in with Clemson. I don't want to jump from one fire to another. I'm going to take my time with this and see what happens."

Loston is likely headed for LSU.
South Carolina has a good shot at Holloman with him visiting this weekend.

We should be prepared to lose recruits if/when Fulmer is no longer the coach. To think we can replace a head coach with the tenure of Fulmer and not lose any good recruits is nuts. You should just pick the year you want to lose them and make the best of it.

I guess the recruits who turned down UT because of our productive offense would have outnumbered the the recruits we could lose if Fulmer were gone.

Instability is bad, but mediocrity and nonproductive is unacceptable

the hope is that the new coach can come in and convince the players and recruits to stay as well as go out and get new ones late in the process, much like saban did with bama 2 off seasons ago.

thats says it all right there. if were winning we don't have coaching problems. if we don't have coaching problems were probably "locks" for several of these guys...all you can do is just shake ur head and stand in awe of how horrible this season has turned out.

This is a catch 22. If Fulmer goes yes we probably lose some recruits but we might get a coach that picks up a few more and is able to utilize the talent we have. Or...Fulmer stays and we pick up alot of talent but can never utilize it like we should because Fulmer obviously can't see it.
