Starting this thread to give our most knowledgeable posters a place to share their best guesses, inside knowledge, and radio rumors. Please post name and position.

Who will not be available?

..........1) Who will still be injured or in rehab?
..........2) Who will forego bowl participation to avoid injury and prepare for their Pro Day?*
....................* This is not the thread to bitch and moan about players taking care of their and their family's financial future with the full support of the coaching staff and UTAD.

Who will return to availability?

Im wondering if Joe sits out. A great bowl game, i dont think, would help his draft stock at this point. But getting hurt would definitely hurt it. Hes a day 3 experiment pick at this point. At this point just pass the reigns.
In this day and time, I look at the bowl as a preview of hopes for the next year, so if Joe sat and passed the reigns to Nico, it would increase my interest tenfold.

Do we think Hooker would have sat out last year had he not been injured? For Joe, my gut feel is that he will play. I could be very wrong, but he seems like the kind of guy who will play for his teammates. However, the norm with Hen Zs seems to be more of a look out for number one mentality these days so I just don’t know.

Joe is more interested in playing a final game with his teammates then preparing for the NFL IMO

My read on Joe Milton is that he will want to play, but the coaches and other adults will strongly advise him against it.

Just as for any other graduate leaving college, now is the time to start charting your future. Soon enough, you will be responsible for a wife and children rather than fellow teammates.

honestly if Joe was going to the NFL... I wouldn't play the bowl game after having such a good game at Vandy. Don't risk having a bad last game for the scouts to see

CORNERBACK

  • #5 Kamal Hadden, R-Sr, 6’1″, 197
  • or #4 Warren Burrell, R-Sr, 6’0″, 190
  • #0 Doneiko Slaughter, Sr, 6’0″, 190
  • or and #1 Gabe Jeudy-Lally, R-Sr, 6’2″, 190
It's gettin' shallower in the depth chart at cornerback.

If Joe plays like he did against Vandy we’ll be fine and Nico will play at least a quarter

Injuries
Bru is out
Thornton is out
Pili is out.
Carter is out
Mincey is starting
Karik is likely out
Hadden is out

Transfer
Burrell is out
Clipper is out

Castle will play as will everyone else who doesn’t transfer. Wright depends on his grade would be my guess.

He’s gonna play. Regardless of what people say, he’s a baller and bleeds orange, so he’ll fight to play one more down as a Vol.

Is Thornton definitely out? What exactly was his injury? Now that it is known that the bowl opponent is Iowa - it would help anyone to have a solid performance in that game including Milton. Joe will want to play well as he is from Orlando. It would be great if he had an impressive performance and raised his draft status - also if Nico were to play some. Iowa's defense may be quite a challenge and I could see Wright sitting out if indeed he intends to go to the NFL.
