SEC bowl projections: Week 12 - College Football Nation Blog - ESPN

How sad is this, we have only two games left against Vandy and Kentucky and there is doubt we can win out to make a bowl game.......against Vandy and Kentucky! Never did I think I would see a day like this as a Vols fan. Regardless of what will happen with this coaching staff (I think it's obvious by now) I still want this team to go to a bowl and more importantly get a bowl win. These kids deserve it, they have played hard this year and I'll be rooting for them.

so they think Ole Miss has a better chance of winning one of the games with LSU and Miss St. than UT has of beating one of the Vandy UK games?.....I can see it.

Miss state sucks, so yeah. probably.

UT has to win both

The saddest thing to think about is that both Vandy and MTSU are bowl eligible and the Vols aren't...

so...Arky, Tennessee, Auburn and KY will not make bowls...now really think about that....sad days for 3 of programs that have always been pretty good.
and GOOD days for the 2 programs that EVERYBODY here laughed at for coming to the SEC.

"YEAH...YEAH!!! welcome to the SEC A&M LOL LOL LOL...oh wait." LOL

I mean since I've been a Vols fan. Both of these games were always considered "give me" games in my spectating exsistence, and for these match-ups to now be considered toss-ups is forigein to me in retrospect. The simple fact that we are not the expected victors of these remaining games only proves the point that we are not on the path to regaining our glory days, but instead on a continuing path of mediocre performances in games to come...

When rock bottom is hit, there's no where else to go but up! Keep the faith! I know it's tough, I have a hard time watching , but when we are relevant again , I'll be here , a Vol For Life!

We slaughter Vandy , the whole team will show up for our next three games thats including the bowl game. They should be pissed they got their coach fired , if he did , so they should take it out on their opponents.

unfortunately it doesn't usually translate out that way

Vandy's QB Rodgers will slaughter us. He will pick apart our defense as every team this year has done. Throw in the 4-6 plays where the defense is totally out of position and I don't see us even coming close to Vandy.

The good news is we MAY just beat Kentucky to finish 5-7. If we lose to Kentucky, it will be he 1st time in program history that UT has 8 losses.

Unfortunately I agree.

But, I have some slight hope that Herman Lathers and Dallas Thomas will step up and get the team ready to go out with a bang. The players don't need to play for Dooley, they need to play for The University of Tennessee, the seniors and self respect.

This is on more people than Dooley. We have to thank Fulmer for the last few years of his career here, Kiffin for his one year reign of terror and Dooley of course. But it is also Hamilton's fault for hiring Dooley who we all know know was in way over his head and isn't anything like his dad Vince.

The Vols will be back..but not quick enough for most of us.

why "thank" dooley--he got paid millions and took the program lower than when he got it from kiffin.

I was just thinking the same thing after reading that blog. It's pretty sad that 1. I'm more excited for the basketball game Thursday and 2. My interest in Tennessee football is limited to checking rumors on Dooleys job status.
