Someone posted this link a year or so back and I found it very interesting as the tournament approached. It's a spreadsheet showing 60 different brackets and where the teams fall on each and it is updated frequently, even if the individual brackets aren't.

The Vols are currently in 59 of the 60 brackets and average a 7 seed, fyi.

I was thinking more of a 9/10 seed but 7 would be ok at this point

Well, if you look at the chart, you range from a 6 to a 10, with most falling in the 7-8 range. Remember, not all of the individual brackets are updated every day, so for example the win last night might be assumed in some, but not all of them.

I am tempted to say it overstates the SEC teams a bit. Florida the top 4 seed? Kentucky a solid 5? Same for Vandy. Also, it has UGA as a 10 seed, although once you drift below 8 or 9 it gets pretty iffy since the autoqualifiers start taking up those spots.

That would be fitting. Last year we thought we were deserving of about a 3 or 4 seed and we end up at the 6. This year we feel like we're lucky to get in at all and end up around the same seed.

A lot weaker of a field this year. Helps us get a higher higher seed.

I think the Vols get in as a 10. Maybe lower if they make a run in the SEC Tournament.

No higher than 7.

Our RPI is currently 24, we have the #1 overall strength of schedule, and #1 non-conference strenght of schedule. Lunardi currently has us as a 7-seed. For those who think we're on the bubble or are currently a double-digit seed, you're wrong. This team is frustrating at times (ok...often times), but we have a pretty strong resume due to the early-season success.

as long as UT gets to 20 overall wins they will fall between a 6 to 10 seed....that is it...be happy with a 6 or 7...8 or 9 is probably what they will get which means a toss up game then a 2nd round exit to a #1 seed...even a round a 32 loss should make most fans happy...we have not shown we are much better than that

what's interesting about the matrix is that we're the 4th team from not only the SEC, but the SEC east ... just like we were predicted at the beginning of the year

I have a hard time thinking any team from the SEC makes the sweet sixteen this year. Pretty bad from top to bottom.

You know, it is certainly possible and in fact I tend to agree. But, in OOC play this year, the SEC has some marquise wins. Any one game, when you get to that point, a team goes cold or gets hot....

CtD and the Bracket Matrix are two of the best on the webs, glad to see they're popular on here too.
