Bradley Central In Playoffs for the first time in 10 years

Wow makes me feel old. I remember the last time they made the playoff. Lost in like the 3rd round. My Buddie play DT on the '99 region championship team and that was like the first in 20 years.

I will be at the game but unfortunately on Coffee Co. side. I was a little bummed we drew ya'll in the first round after the thumping we took earlier in the season. Good luck and Go Red Raiders.

Was this the year we lost to Red Bank (Riggs mainly) or was that in 96? Having a brain fart....

Gotta like our chances finally in a playoff game. I can't remember when that has happened in my lifetime(33) hahah. Any of you guys know a link that we can hear the game broadcast? Definitely want to listen to this one. I've yet to be able to find a site that gives up to date scores on our games....any suggestions would be appreciated.

Nope lost to Red Bank in 2000. Beat Red Bank in '99. Cuase '99 was the year we beat The soon to be 5A State Champs and I'm not even going to try to spell it start with a S. But I remember that Year cause all through the season it look like that Murphy-Riverdale was the favorite to win it all and that who lost in the Finals. We lost to Hedersonville Beach that year in the first round. Then in 2000 was the last time we went to the playoffs. Went to the third round and that the year Red Bank won it which was Gerald Riggs last season.

Riggs was a junior the year they went undefeated and won state. He graduated the same year I did, which was 2002, so our senior football season was in the fall of 01. I played at East Ridge and we played Red Bank in the jamboree in 2000 and they beat us 21-7 in a quarter and our 7 was on a fluke 75 yard running play. There's no way we could've actually sustained a long scoring drive on them. But yeah that's crazy that Bradley Central hasn't made the playoffs in a decade. I haven't really followed high school football much since I graduated but it seems like when I played they were always pretty good.

It's been that long? Wow! I played against them in the playoffs at their place i guess the last time they made it. It was my sophomore year I believe

Tragic loss to Oak Ridge. I cant believe we played that well against them tho. My heart broke when the reciever missed the catch and was wide open. My dad was team captain and middle linebacker for Bradley in 75'. Danny Wooden was the runing back. There was a ton of players that gave heart. I hear the storeys of the fights after games, it really meant alot to them. Unfortunately Bradley lost that year in the finals to none other then Oak Ridge. The next year the team was prepped and won a State Championship. My dads heart breaks when he tells me the storey. But fortunately I picked up a state in wrestling, and my sister picked up 3 for volleyball. All credit to my dad, Kenny Satterfield. I felt like running on the side line and telling these kids what that game meant, alot dont know the history of Oak Ridge and Bradley. Primarily bc Bradley has had biast coaches. The reason I didnt play in HS was simply bc the team was told to go around and pick on people who didnt choose to play football. I objected. After highschool I walked on to an Arena Football team and have played ever since. Maybe Bradley has finally got it together. I will watch and support if thats the case.
