Brady Quinn in the draft thoughts....

I have to believe that he will be an above average (at least 1 Pro Bowl) QB in the NFL. I also imagine that he will adjust to the pro game a lot quicker, thanks to Weiss, than will Russell.

If he goes to the Browns, I will consider him screwed.
Yes, I am sure he is agonizing over the prospects of throwing the ball to Braylon Edwards, Joe Jurevicius, and Kellen Winslow, Jr. I also doubt he is looking forward to handing the ball off to Jamal Lewis...

While the Browns will be less than mediocre next year (and possibly the following year), they would not be a bad fit for a talented young QB.

LOL, Brady actually wants to go to the Browns. But if he did, I wouldn't be surprised to see everyone get hurt again and more and more failing as a team. Those guys are having problems staying healthy I believe.

Any serious injuries to those WR's, Winslow, and/or Lewis would be very difficult for Brady. In that aspect, I completely agree with you.

I think Quinn has a better chance than Russell of having a career as an NFL QB, but that Russell's potential upside is much higher. Quinn will likely be one of these guys who moves around from team to team, sometimes starting and sometimes being a backup, but he'll spend 10+ years in the league doing it. In contrast, Russell has a chance to be one of the best QBs in the league -- but he might be out of football in three years.

I don't think either one of them is worthy of the #1 pick. You should be able to get a perennial Pro Bowler (if not a Hall of Famer) with that pick, and just can't see either one of them being in that class. If I have that pick and I don't need a receiver (i.e., Calvin Johnson), then I trade down.

Perfect, I couldn't have said it any better.

I think Quinn will have it similar to Notre Dame. His first few years he could be abused, but he will start to come through. He has a lot of upside.

Yes whereas Russell will be an incompetent QB in the NFL. He made some of the dumbest decisions I've ever seen a QB make.
