I struggle between picking Georgia and Carolina 1 and 2. UGA's got what could/should be a prolific stable of RB's and obvious talent throughout their roster, but they've also had some defensive personnel issues this offseason. Dylan Thompson is a legit QB for USC, and their RB is supposed to be really good, as well as their veteran OL. They lost a lot of front 7 talent to the draft and graduation, though.
I wouldn't be surprised if UF, Mizzou, and UT should all be competitive, with Florida getting 17 significant players back from injury, Mizzou being led by Maty Mauk, and us with the injection of young elites.
Vandy may not totally be burning, and they may have gotten a good guy in Derek Mason, but they no longer have SEC's statistically best WR Matthews to bail out their bad QB play, and they're also switching to the 3-4. If there's anything we've learned from that. I really just picked Kentucky for 6th because I want them to be okay. I like having a little brother that has some fight to him when I issue a friendly beatdown.
As for the West:
Alabama
LSU
Auburn
aTm
Ole Miss
MSU
ARK
Dak Prescott is decently good, but I won't believe a great season from them until I see it. A&M and LSU are each losing a lot on offense. I picked LSU higher because their Defense is much more reliable than A&M's. Auburn is good, they deserved to represent the SEC in the BCSNCG, but they had some obvious lucky bounces. They'd probably be a 9-win team this year. Alabama has proved before QB experience isn't a problem for them. I don't have a reason for not putting them at the top, except that I hate Bama, but that kind of bias would jeopardize the validity of this entire post. And this took a lot of typing.
