Brand X GOP Candidate beats the incumbent

In the 1950's commercials for washing powder, peanut butter or cola, you had the main subject of the commercial vs Brand X. Brand X represented the main subject's closest competitor(s) in the market. Well, it seems we have Brand X making a return in regards to the 2012 presidential campaign.

President Barack Obama is closely matched in hypothetical head-to-heads with 2012 Republican presidential candidates, according to a poll released Monday.

The Gallup survey showed Obama within the sampling error among registered voters when pitted against Mitt Romney, Rick Perry, Ron Paul and Michele Bachmann.

Romneycare takes away one of the biggest sticks that the GOP has to beat on Obama. Therefore Romney has less chance to beat Obama than most others. IMO.

I honestly don't know anyone who gives a crap that he is a mormon.
